Introduction
Hi, I’m Mike, and welcome to H.K. Keller’s online auction bidding platform! In this quick tutorial, I’ll walk you through how to register, place bids, and ensure you don’t miss out on winning items in this auction. Let’s get started.

Overview of H.K. Keller’s Online Auction Platform
This is our online auction platform. If you’re new to our site and haven’t created an account yet, follow the steps below to get started.
0:21
How to Register for an Account
Click the Log In/Register button, then select Create Account. You’ll be asked to enter your contact information, including your phone number and mailing address. I recommend using your email address as your username to make logging in easier later.
Once you’ve entered all your information, click Next Step. You’ll then be asked to provide your credit card details. If you’re bidding on high-value items like real estate or oil, gas, and mineral (OGM) rights, we simply verify your identity with a $1 hold—no money is collected. However, for furniture or personal property purchases, this card will be charged at the end of the auction.
After entering your credit card details, click Next Step again. You’ll then be asked to agree to the terms and conditions for creating an account with H.K. Keller. Click the box to agree and then hit Submit.
Now that your registration is complete, you can click on the Auctions tab to view available auctions.

2:10
Phone Number Verification for Bidding
Before you can place bids, you’ll need to verify your phone number. Navigate to Preferences, select the phone number you want to verify, and click the verification button. You’ll receive a code via text—enter it in the field provided and click Submit. Once completed, you’re ready to bid.
2:30
Navigating the Auctions Page
Go back to the homepage of the auction site and select any open auctions to start bidding. Once your registration is approved, click Refresh, and you should see the option to register for an auction.
2:44
Registering for an Auction
Click the Register button and carefully read through the auction’s terms and conditions. Each auction has different rules, so it’s important to review them. Once you’ve read the terms, click Agree to Terms.
3:08
How to Place a Bid
To place a bid, first, research the property or item before bidding. Click the Bid Now button and choose between a Max Bid or a Regular Bid.
3:25
Max Bid vs. Regular Bid Explained
A Max Bid will automatically increase your bid one increment above anyone else’s up to your maximum amount. For example, if bid increments are $50 and you place a max bid of $3,400 per acre, the system will bid on your behalf up to that amount.
Click Confirm Bid Amount to proceed. The platform will calculate the total price, including acreage and the 10% buyer’s premium.
3:45
Understanding Bid Increments & Buyer’s Premium
For example, if you bid $3,400 per acre for 66.31 acres, the total is $225,400. Adding the 10% buyer’s premium brings the total to $247,900.
Click Place Bid Now, and your bid will be recorded. If another bidder places a higher bid, the system will automatically increase yours (if using Max Bid) or notify you that you’ve been outbid.
4:08
How to Track Your Bids & Notifications
If another bidder places a higher bid than yours, you’ll receive a notification. You can also change your account settings to receive text notifications when you’re outbid or when you win an item.
6:28
Linked Lots & Simultaneous End Times
Some lots are linked, meaning they will end at the same time. If one linked lot gets extended, the other will be extended as well. This is often used when lots are from the same parcel of land, ensuring bidders have the opportunity to bid on both.
6:56
Where to Find Property Details & Documents
For more information about an auction item, check the Description section. Additional documents may be available for review. Clicking on a lot’s photo provides more details, bid history, auction terms, and property location.
